He was raised to follow [[_GM_1. World Almanac/World/Deities/Hozho.jpg|Hozho]] by his father Lucas Albatross. Despite being a patron of the goddess of joy, Merry's life has been full of hardship. His father's clerical magic could not save his mother Lydia, who passed away when Merry was just 25 years old. His father took his own life ten years later. In his later years, Merry and his wife [[Marigold Albatross]] were due to have a young baby named Hope, but they both passed away due to complications in childbirth. 4 years later, a fierce firestorm swept through [[Frogswick]], destroying the Albatross farm and killing his niece and nephew. Heartbroken, Merry went and stayed with Marigold's sister [[Penelope]] out in [[Brookhaven]]. While staying there, he found a small chest buried in the ground, with a cryptic message written from one of his ancestors, Desmond Albatross. A new fire in his soul, Merry set out towards Neo towards a life of adventure. Merry joined [[_GM_1. Player Characters/Group 19/Group 19]] at its inception, helping complete the job during [[Episode 1 - The Team Forms...]]. Ever since he has lived in [[_GM_1. World Almanac/World/Tovangar/Solaria/Neo/Neo]], spending much of his time finishing on the [[Emerald Bay]] with Boris and [[Adrian Elbridge]], or praying at one of Hozho's shrines. ###### Desmond's Poem Follow the path where the golden wings glide, Through meadows where twilight and daylight collide.
